TAALK: Talk About Abuse to Liberate Kids

TAALK is an organization that hopes to break the silence that surrounds child sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse is a difficult subject for most adults to talk about, let alone the children who are its victims. TAALK begins with the basics to break the silence through five key objectives:

  1. Raise awareness to the fact that child sexual abuse happens in every community;
  2. Inspire all adults to learn to protect kids by participating in prevention training;
  3. Teach adults, teens and children "the language of abuse" and open the lines of communication;
  4. Help survivors understand that they are not alone and support their healing journey;
  5. Put offenders on notice that we're watching and our kids are off limits
