In 2019 and again in 2022, the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) was awarded an Overdose Data to Action grant by the CDC to collect high quality, comprehensive, and timely data on nonfatal and fatal overdoses to inform prevention and response efforts. NICRP was selected as the external evaluator for both grants to help monitor project progress. For the 2019 grant, NICRP also provided training to providers and parents on toxic stress and high-risk behaviors and provided community resources on overdose prevention.
