• Salary Range: $45,000 – $70,000 Annually (commensurate with experience)

The Community You Will Join:

Research Analyst

We are seeking an experienced, driven, research analyst who is passionate about conducting community-based research to improve the lives of children and families in Nevada. You will possess the skills necessary to work both collaboratively and independently to design and implement research based on project partner needs and within budgetary parameters. You will be responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting the findings to project partners.

A Typical Day:

Conduct and coordinate research activities, assist with project budgets, work collaboratively with project partners to address existing project requirements, work with NICRP staff to develop ideas for related grants and projects, and provide direction, oversight, and moderate supervision and training for other research positions.

Your Expertise:

This position requires a Master’s degree in the Social Sciences (or similar area) from a regionally accredited college or university and 3-5 years of related professional or comparable professional experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Demonstrated experience with qualitative or quantitative research (i.e., knowledge of research methods, data analysis, human subjects protections, and/or database development)
• Demonstrated ability to write results of research analyses
• Experience with client interaction
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, coordinate, and conduct social science and/or evaluation research
• Demonstrated ability to train and supervise others (professional staff or assistant/student-level employees)
• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical software (SPSS/PASW, SAS, or Stata)

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience with independently creating and/or managing a project budget
• Experience with grant writing
• An interest in early childhood education

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting annual salary for this position is between $45,000 and $70,000. The actual annual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, and work experience.
