Each year Step Up for Kids events around the country bring together thousands of people to show widespread support for investments in children and families throughout the country and our state. These events focus on raising awareness of issues American children face such as: access to early care and learning programs, access to after-school programs, poverty, child abuse and neglect, and health care.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, head to the North Las Vegas Alexander Library in your favorite superhero costume and help STEP UP for kids. Individuals ages 17 & under can vote to elect the next Strong Start Clark County Youth Mayor.

Strong Start Clark County Youth Mayor

Youth Mayor will give children the chance to learn about basic political and campaigning skills in a fun and engaging way while allowing them to interact with their community.

Fourth and fifth graders living in Clark County, NV with an interest in becoming the next Strong Start Youth Mayor should complete an application by Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:59 pm.

How Organizations Get Involved
