Childhood lead poisoning is one of the most preventable environmental health hazards in history. While childhood lead poisoning rates have decreased substantially since the 1970s, mounting evidence suggests that chronic, lowlevel exposure in early childhood can have longlasting impacts on children. The Nevada Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (NvCLPPP) staff and Advisory Board encourage stakeholders to use this document as a guide to help prevent local lead exposure and address blood lead levels accordingly.
