Afterschool and out-of-school time (OST) programs play a critical role in expanding access to high-quality STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Learning opportunities for young people across Nevada. As demand for equitable, workforce-connected STEM experience grows, it is increasingly important for programs and networks to understand not only what STEM opportunities are offered, but whom they reach and how that reach can be measured consistently over time.

To inform this effort, the Nevada Afterschool Network (NAN) gathered survey and interview data from OST program providers across the state to better understand current STEM programming, data tracking, and reporting practices. Findings highlight existing strengths and identify opportunities to strengthen data consistency and shared standards that support sustainable, data-informed STEM initiatives for Nevada youth.
