The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is committed to compliance with SB318 and Title VI in ensuring meaningful access to State services and programs for individuals who are limited English proficient (LEP). The purpose of this document is to establish an effective plan and protocol for NDE personnel to follow when providing services to, or interacting with, individuals who are LEP. Following this Language Access Plan (LAP) and protocol is essential to the success of our mission to improve student achievement and educator effectiveness by ensuring opportunities, facilitating learning, and promoting excellence.
