The report must include a description of maternal mortality (MM) and severe maternal morbidity (SMM) incidents reviewed over the preceding 24 months, ensuring confidentiality. It must also summarize identified disparities, outline corrective action plans to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity, and provide recommendations for legislation or policy changes to improve health care delivery in the state. Both the Maternal Mortality Review Committee and the Advisory Committee of the Office of Minority Health and Equity provided recommendations to reduce MM and SMM.
