The Nevada Department of Education’s (NDE) Family Engagement Framework: Birth through Grade 12 (Framework) was created to guide families, schools, districts, educators, and community members in their family engagement efforts (NRS 385.635). It was developed and informed by Nevada families, educators, ,and community members. The Framework Advisory Committee (Committee), consisting of family engagement experts and advocates from across the state, supported NDE in developing the Framework.
Nevada families, educators, and community members also provided NDE and the Committee feedback on the Framework through written feedback and surveys.
