The Public Lands Institute “Families in Nature” program was developed in order to provide families in Las Vegas with environmental education, to promote environmental stewardship, and to foster personally meaningful connections to nature. The program consists of educational and recreational activities during field trips to public lands around the Las Vegas area. NICRP was contracted to conduct an external evaluation of the program. The purpose of the evaluation is to summarize the outcomes for the participants of the program
