Prevent Child Abuse Nevada (PCA-NV) at the Nevada Institute for Children’s Research and Policy (NICRP) and community partners adapted a campaign from Ohio entitled “Choose Your Partner Carefully (CYPC).” This campaign was created because too often children are injured, sometimes fatally, when left with individuals who lack the parenting skills and patience necessary to provide care. Currently, through a grant with the Department of Health and Human Services, PCA-NV is conducting an evaluation to measure and improve the effectiveness of the campaign’s educational materials and one hour parent training class.
