Current Research and Funded Projects

The NICRP conducts academic and community-based research in multiple areas affecting children and their families. In addition to having an interdisciplinary research staff, NICRP also collaborates with University faculty from a variety of disciplines as well as community partners to ensure that our research reflects the most current methods and will have the most beneficial impact on our community.

Mental Health Expansion Project

NICRP was selected to evaluate the Clark County Mental Health Expansion Project for the Clark County Department of Family Services which seeks to expand mental health services for children and youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED).

Nevada Statewide Adult Tobacco Survey

Through a contract with the Southern Nevada Health District, NICRP assists with the development of the Nevada Statewide Adult Tobacco Survey, coordinates data collection for the survey, analyzes the data, and produces a report of the findings.

Children’s Mental Health Initiative

The Clark County Department of Family Services selected NICRP to evaluate their Children’s Mental Health Initiative known as The Project. The Project seeks to expand and sustain comprehensive community mental health services for children with serious emotional disturbances.
